FormaShape™ Deal with Irving Oil Announced

British Columbia, Canada - FormaShape™, the architectural products division of Whitewater Composites Ltd., announced today that it has entered into an agreement with Irving Oil to supply the company with newly designed fascia and gasoline pump shrouds for its re-branded forecourt design.

The new Irving branded look is rolling out across New England and Atlantic Canada. It is being executed in conjunction with a new retail brand called Bluecanoe, offering customers an exciting and distinctive new look and enhanced product offerings featuring gourmet coffee, fresh bakery items and premium, made-to-order deli offerings.

Whitewater Composites' and FormaShape's™ President, Peter Jeffrey, says it was a matter of teamwork between the people at Irving, Target Marketing & Communications Inc. of St. John's, Newfoundland, Montreal based-Transworld Signs Inc. and TIR Systems Ltd. of Vancouver that facilitated the project, resulting in a stunning new look for Irving.

"It is a pleasure working with a client that knows what they want and is willing to empower us to bring our own design and manufacturing capabilities to the table so that we can show the exciting images that you can create in fibre reinforced plastics (FRP)," says Jeffrey. "With the new Heavy Resin Transfer Moulding (RTM) manufacturing process that we are using for this project we have been able to obtain the image the company was seeking, the quantities required in the timeframe needed, and an attachment system that provided for no visual fasteners."

FormaShape™ is the only company in North America bringing this type of product to the marketplace coupled with in-house design engineering, fabrication, assembly, full service project management, shipping to site for installation, and providing installation manuals and training. It was FormaShape'sTM expertise in this area that first attracted Irving to the company. Irving has taken its design to a new level, employing a style, which not only includes canopy fascia with lighting, but also pump shrouds, and cannot be duplicated in any other materials such as steel, aluminum and composite material.

"FormaShape™ is an industry leader in the application of fibre reinforced plastics (FRP) for architectural products and we are very pleased with the design and quality of the new canopy fascia and pump shrouds from FormaShape," said Tim Guen, senior brand manager for Irving. "The original and distinctive design is a crucial element of our new brand created to enhance the Irving experience for our customers."

About Irving Oil

Founded in 1924, Irving Oil was the first gasoline retailer in Canada to begin combining their fuel offerings with convenience stores. Originally called Maritime Product Bars in the 1950s and 60s, the stores were converted to Mari-marts in the 1970s. As Irving's network grew through acquisitions and new site development, the stores were eventually branded as Mainway in both Atlantic Canada and New England, where the company expanded in 1972. Irving serves customers in Eastern Canada, Quebec, and New England with a range of finished energy products, including gasoline, diesel, home heating fuel, lubricants, jet fuel and complementary products and services. The company's network offers customers a wide variety of products and services, including grocery and snack items, bakeries, and convenience items, in addition to fuel. In 2003, Irving became the first oil company to win a USEPA Clean Air Excellence award for its low sulphur gasoline.
