Mould Builder

As a world leader in fiberglass and reinforced plastics manufacturing, FormaShapeâ„¢, a division of Whitewater Composites Ltd., supplies customers with a complete range of design, engineering and manufacturing services. We are the largest builder of aquatic attractions in the world and are now seeking an evolutionary-minded Pattern Maker/Mould Builder.

As a key contributor within the organizational structure of FormaShapeâ„¢, the Pattern Maker/Mould Builder will work within the Mould Shop assisting the Company in achieving its objectives in growing this area of the business. Your accurate and precise approach to quality in mould production is essential. A strong ability to transfer design to reality and solid technical expertise provide the foundation for a strong contribution to our team.

Our ideal candidate will have:

  • Previous experience fabricating composite and wooden master patterns for the production of composite moulds; (fiberglass experience an asset)
  • High school diploma/certificate or trade experience in a relevant field;
  • Previous experience in carpentry/autobody is an asset;
  • CCT Certified Composite Technician;
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, charts and tables;
  • Demonstrated understanding of spatial relationships;
  • Good understanding of the mould manufacturing process;
  • Good understanding of product/customer requirements;
  • Ability to work safely with most power tools including saws, planers and routers;
  • Understanding of and willingness to work in a ISO/LEAN production environment;
  • Good command of the English language; and
  • Results oriented team player who takes initiative and strives for excellence.
  • Flexibility and willingness to work overtime if required
